About About Irene Long Irene
Irene Yin(胤) Long, Pianist and Collaborative Artist. Have been performing in different countries through her musical journey, she earned a great variety of musical performances.
In the year 2022, Long's talent propelled her onto a national tour and her performance destinations include major cities in China, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Lanzhou, Hangzhou and Guilin. Alongside of Soloist, Long's role as an Orchestra pianist has earned her a great reputation. As the pianist in the National Music Festival, New World Symphony and Jacobs Symphony Orchestra, she collaborated with distinguished conductors, and her contributions during the band's concerts left a great impact, garnering praise from audiences and composers. She performed the works by Camille Saint-Saëns, Lili Boulanger, John Mackey, Igor Stravinsky, Joan Tower, Benjamin Horne, David Copley, Peter Meechan, Roger Zare, György Ligeti, David Maslanka, Kevin Day, Joseph Schwantner, etc in 2023 concert season.
In addition to her role as soloist and orchestra pianist, Long serves as a dedicated accompanist in the Theater and Dance area. She actively participates in ballet productions and major performances as a ballet pianist at the Jacobs Ballet Department, enhancing the synergy between music and dance. In 2023, Long joined the Belvoir Terrace Ballet program. The faculty dancers she's been working with include Dena Abergel, Sarah Wroth, Michael Vernon, and Christian Claessens, among others. Long served as the Music Director and Opera music accompanist at different places, including Lenox, MA, and Guangzhou, China.
